As everybody who is anybody knows, Marty Singer is the go-to lawyer in Hollywood.

That’s why reality TV contestant Corinne Olympios has hired him in a scandal that recently shut down “Bachelor in Paradise.” Olympios was referred to Singer because, well, everybody in Hollywood goes to him.

“Marty Singer, Marty Singer … you lifesaver, you!” movie star Scarlett Johansson gushed at a bar association tribute to the entertainment lawyer. “You are a real-life superhero.”

Star-Studded Clients

Marty Singer may just be the quintessential example of the Hollywood entertainment lawyer. Developing a career in entertainment law is challenging enough. Rising to the top in that competitive practice area is the very definition of shooting for the stars.

Johansson was one of many A-listers who honored Singer at the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s “Entertainment Lawyer of the Year” dinner five years ago. Among some 400 people at the event were Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Travolta, Stevie Wonder, Eddie Murphy, Nicholas Cage, Mike Myers, Tom Arnold, and Sharon Stone.

Others paid video tributes, including Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, James Caan, Magic Johnson, Marie Osmond, Paula Abdul and Johansson. Charlie Sheen, “everybody’s favorite train wreck,” Variety reported, gave his endorsement in person.

Olympios, the alleged victim of a sexual assault on set, apparently has found the right lawyer for the job.

Paradise Lost

“Bachelor in Paradise,” a reality show that promotes romantic liaisons, suspended production after an incident on June 4. According to reports, a producer complained they were filming a male contestant “in a sexual situation” with a female contestant who was very drunk.

Olympios says that she was the woman. “I am a victim,” she said in a statement. “As a woman, this is my worst nightmare and it has now become my reality.”

The bad news for him is, Singer is not available.
