Hulk Hogan’s lawyers may have been a bit disingenuous with the court during the Hulk’s invasion of privacy lawsuit against Gawker. If you don’t remember, Hogan sued Gawker after it published a short video of him having sex with a friend’s wife, eventually winning a $140 million judgment against the blog. It was revealed soon after that Hogan’s suit had been financed in part by Peter Thiel, the conservative tech billionaire, largely as revenge for Gawker outing Thiel as gay years before....

California’s 2nd District Court of Appeal not only rejected Donald Sterling’s $2 billion sale of the Clippers to Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer, the Court all but reprimanded him for the appeal’s “numerous deficiencies.” Sale of the Clippers Donald Sterling, who had up until recently owned the L.A. Clippers for well over the better part of three decades, lost a bid to undo the recent sale of the team to Microsoft Executive Steve Ballmer....

People typically run from police in an attempt to stay out of jail for as long as they can. But an Oklahoma woman who led police on a high-speed chase Tuesday had a somewhat different goal in mind. Police say 34-year-old Luz Avilla refused to pull over, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph, supposedly because she was hoping to make it to the next county over. “Apparently she did not want to go to jail in Grady County,” a police officer told Oklahoma City’s KWTV....

Florida resident Christine Baker was arrested on Friday by an undercover detective with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. She allegedly offered the man sex in exchange for two double cheeseburgers off of McDonald’s dollar menu. Sadly, the sex for cheeseburgers incident is in no way related to January’s story about a woman offering sex in exchange for McNuggets....

If you’re a judge who’s been arrested on charges of criminal sexual penetration and intimidation of a witness, what would you do? Keep on presiding over the criminal court you’ve been presiding over before your arrest? Well, if you’re Judge Pat Murdoch, you retire. The New Mexico judge is retiring after his much-publicized run-in with the law, according to KOAT-TV. An alleged finger-painting “scam” is pitting a pair of rich parents against a posh school over a fundraiser gone wrong. Michelle Heinemann and her investment-banker husband Jon are suing the upscale Cathedral School of St. John the Divine in New York City for $415,000 plus damages for allegedly conspiring to rig a fundraising auction and sticking them with a $50,000 bill for their “winning bid.” At the center of the dispute: A 30-by-30-inch finger painting by a classroom of kindergartners....

Over 100 former Ohio State students have reported firsthand accounts of sexual misconduct committed by Richard Strauss, a former team doctor at the school from the mid-1970s to the 1990s. Strauss’s time at the university overlapped with that of current Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan, who was an assistant wrestling coach at the university from 1987 to 1995.
